Design Intent
My goal for each project is to create a unique design that complements the house’s architecture, and takes into account the homeowners special requests.
The design process starts with an interview with the homeowners, and a walk though the property.
A second meeting may include the revision of some proposed hardscape ideas. Once the overall arrangement of the space is set the future meeting will be used to discuss plants material, lighting, and details.
The hard-scape draws clues from the architecture style and proportions, while the plant material is a combination of well-adapted plants for the local climate. My designs include a palate of succulents, grasses and Mediterranean plants. I enjoy creating gardens that play with foliage color, and shape contrast. This way gardens become low maintenance, and easy to be enjoyed.
