Biography

Amelia B. Lima, APLD was born in Brazil and has been working in the US since 1988. She has projects completed in Rio de Janeiro, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Rancho Santa Fe, and San Diego.

She was very fortunate to have had the chance to meet Roberto Burle Marx in 1989, and to witness him create some of his famous landscapes.

She is a Certified Professional Designer by the Association of Professional Landscape Designer (APLD) since 2000.

With an Architecture background and a degree in Horticulture, she focus on the idea that a well design garden will have strong architecture features combined with suitable plant material.

Her projects include residential and commercial. Sizes also vary, and she is as enthusiastic to create an intimate garden, as to work on a large project.
